A pedestrian bridge will be built beginning in fall 2010 to connect the Rosen Centre Hotel and the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). Completion of the $2 million project is anticipated in early 2011. The bridge will allow hotel guests and meeting attendees easy access to the OCCC — as well as the district's numerous dining and entertainment options — without having to walk on busy International Drive or Convention Way.
"It is the goal of the Orange County Convention Center to consistently deliver on our promise of unparalleled guest service and exceed client expectations as the ‘Center of Hospitality,'" said Tom Ackert, executive director of the OCCC. "This new pedestrian bridge is one example of how we are working with our hotel partners to create a better experience for the meeting planners and attendees that visit our destination."
